Our Yurts follow the traditional Kyrgyz Yurt design. This has significantly more wood content in the Uuks (roof poles) and Kerege (trelis). The complete wooden structure is made with steam bent wood.

Who We Are
In the vibrant culture and lifestyle of modern Kyrgyz people, our nomadic heritage continues to hold significant importance. At 40 Rays Yurts, we are a family business deeply rooted in these traditions. My husband, who is British, and I, a proud Kyrgyz, have spent 25 wonderful years together, raising three beautiful children three cats and experiencing life in various countries, each with its unique traditions and stunning cities.
Upon returning to Kyrgyzstan, my brother and I embarked on a journey to start a small business. Our goal was to share the beauty and craftsmanship of handmade traditional yurts, not just through sales but by inviting others to immerse themselves in the world of these exquisite, natural creations.
We decided to expand our reach to Europe, allowing our friends abroad to experience the authentic, handmade marvels from Kyrgyzstan. Each yurt we produce is a testament to the skills of master yurt makers, whose expertise has been passed down through generations.
